LTC Communicator powers multilingual component of DaimlerChrysler |
|
The Language Technology Centre (LTC) is proud to announce that its LTC Communicator technology has been implemented in a new process-based learning system (PLS) at DaimlerChrysler. PLS represents the future of employee training in the manufacturing business and is a corner stone in the bid to keep European manufacture competitive.
PLS has already saved 300 jobs at DaimlerChrysler’s Mannheim plant. Since 2005 efforts have been made to raise PLS to a European level. The Language Technology Centre’s LTC Communicator is an important component in this undertaking.
LTC Communicator is an intelligent system that combines various tried and tested language technologies as well as human translation to offer near instant multilingual communication. It is used in the PLS environment to allow instant multilingual access to learning materials when they have been changed or updated in one language. DaimlerChrysler also expects large savings on translation costs as LTC Communicator minimises the need for human translation.
