LTC Worx receives enthusiastic response at the Project Management Certification Program in Chico, CA Print
On June 16, 2007 Elham Attarpour, Operations Manager of The Language Technology Center Inc (LTC) introduced LTC Worx, LTC’s new business system for the language industry, at the Project Management Certification Program at the Localization Institute in Chico, CA. Language professionals were thrilled at the chance to gain some first-hand experience with the beta version of LTC Worx, to be officially released on the US market in October 2007.

The program was developed by industry experts, leading professional associations and academic institutions in response to the growing demand for localization professionals. Senior Managers working in the localization and translation industry, including international e-business, attended.

“It is crucial for the success of the program that our students get an insight into the latest technology”, explains Prof. Nitish Singh, head of the Localization Certification Program at CSU Chico. “We were therefore really excited when LTC agreed to offer a workshop on their new business system for the language industry. LTC Worx really caught the participants’ imagination and everyone was very excited to learn what the future of software for our industry will hold. In a hands-on session at one of our computer labs all 40 participants were able to learn about the benefits of LTC Worx. All participants responded enthusiastically to LTC Worx’ unique approach to workflow optimization.”

LTC Worx adapts fully to the users’ workflows and helps to optimize them, taking care of the whole business information and project management side of language projects. This allows language professionals to choose the right set of linguistic tools for each project and gives them a powerful tool that can work with any technology their clients and suppliers use. It is also scalable and can handle everything from the largest multisite operations to smaller agencies.

“This was the first time that we have given a large, diverse group of industry professionals a really deep insight into LTC Worx”, says Elham. “We were thrilled with the result. With LTC Worx we wanted to create a product that could cover all the business information and project management needs language departments and language service providers have and which is flexible enough to fit into any such organization. Judging from the response today we achieved just that.”

LTC, based in London, UK and Washington DC, USA has been a pioneer in developing business systems for the language industry for over a decade.
